Kiharu lawmaker Ndindi Nyoro has revisited the planned sale of Safaricom shares by the government, insisting that the process is marred by self-interest. Nyoro says the price of Safaricom shares at the Nairobi Securities Exchange has dropped, and any further sale of the shares will occassion massive loss of public funds. Nyoro has further accused the national assembly's committee on finance of running shoddy public participation, saying it is an extension of the executive.
