Kiharu Member of Parliament and former Chair of the National Assembly Budget and Appropriations Committee, Ndindi Nyoro, has warned that Kenya is on the brink of a debt crisis, urging immediate reforms in public finance management. He revealed that over 1 trillion shillings from the upcoming June budget will go toward interest payments alone, while the government plans to borrow an additional 900 billion shillings this year.
