The government has extended by one day the deadline for validation of 800,000 beneficiaries of the National Opportunities Towards Advancement program. Micro, Small and Medium Enterprise Development principal secretary Susan Mang’eni, says the decision to extend the deadline was as a result of technical hitches with the validation gadgets. The nationwide validation exercise is aimed at identifying those who meet the eligibility criteria. 70,000 youth per ward are expected to benefit from the program. Here are details of the exercise which will now conclude on Saturday.
