ODM Party Leader Oburu Oginga has defended the government’s decision to compensate victims of protests and human rights violations. The ODM leader, however, said those who committed the heinous acts should be held accountable. He spoke after receiving the report from the Prof. Makau Mutua-led panel of compensation experts. The panel disclosed that it was finalizing on the Assembly and Demonstration Bill, aimed at regulating protests.
