The United Opposition top figures have faulted the 4.82 trillion budget 2026/2027 set to be tabled in the national assembly Thursday. The leaders including Kalonzo Musyoka of Wiper Party, Rigathi Gachagua of DCP, and Jubilee’s Fred Matiang’i, also criticized the Finance Bill 2026/2027 for introducing punitive taxes, including the proposed new charges on Mobile money transfers and an increase in taxes charged on rental income.
