Siaya governor James Orengo has alleged that youths have been mobilised to disrupt the “Linda Mwananchi” rally scheduled for Kakamega. He termed the move a coordinated attempt by senior government figures to intimidate organisers. Orengo warned that any interference would violate constitutional rights and said they would hold William Ruto accountable if violence occurs.
