Basic Education Principal Secretary Julius Bitok says the Ministry of Education is aware that some parents are dissatisfied with the recent school placements unveiled on Friday. In a statement released this afternoon, Bitok attributed this to competition and limited spaces in public schools. He also cited misaligned communication between parents, learners, and school heads, as well as variances between selected pathways and assessment outcomes.
Bitok said a seven-day window will open from Tuesday to allow a review of placements for affected learners. Parents across the country have raised concerns, with some alleging their children have been placed in day schools far from their homes
