As the schools close for two month long holiday ,parents have been urged to engage their children in different community services which will be a tool for empowering them to serve others and be self reliant.According to father Michael Kimani a Priest from Ndeiya parish in Kiambu County the church is encountering challenges from the poor parenting attributed to parents busy schedules with daily activities. Sentiments echoed by Ndeiya Sub County Assistant Commissioner Ephantus Njagi who said the government has sensitized parents through public barazas,Nyumba Kumi and Churches in taking care of children this long holiday.
