Parents have been urged to foster close relationships with their children in a bid to address the rising cases of abuse and indiscipline among children. Speaking in Kilifi County at a forum organized by Zamara Foundation and that brought together stakeholders on children's affairs in the county, parental neglect and poverty were highlighted as the main contributors to child abuse and violence, especially the girl child.
