Parliament gives a nod to Kshs 13.88 B supplementary budget

National Assembly Thursday approved the Second Supplementary budget of 13.88 billion shillings, with State Department for Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises receiving 3.84bn shillings. National Intelligence Service has been allocated 3.5bn shillings for security operations across the country, with the State Broadcaster KBC being allocated 150 million shillings for the FIFA World Cup rights. During the debate, a section of MPs questioned the justification for increased allocations to State offices when the financial year is ending.
