Pharmaceutical distributors warn of looming drug shortage after import portal reconfiguration

The Kenya Pharmaceutical Distributors Association is tonight raising the alarm over a looming shortage of essential medicines. The association claims that, while preparing for a World Health Organization audit, the Pharmacy and Poisons Board reconfigured its importation portal , inadvertently blocking access to more than 21,000 essential drugs.
