President calls on opposition to work without protests

President William Ruto has fired back at Azimio leader Raila Odinga following his threat to initiate mass action to protest the planned removal of four IEBC commissioners. The head of state said the opposition is free to criticise the government on issues but should desist from street protests which he said will destabilize business and the economy. The president spoke as the justice and legal affairs committee continued with its hearing of four petitions seeking the removal of four IEBC commissioners from office.
