PSs Esther Mworia, TVET, Inyangala, Higher Education, mourn 16 girls killed at Utumishi Academy fire

Principal Secretary for the State Department of Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET), Dr. Esther Mworia, and her counterpart for Higher Education have expressed sympathy to the families and learners affected by the devastating fire at Utumishi Girls Academy in Gilgil that resulted in the loss of several lives. Addressing attendees in Wajir during the Madaraka Day 2026 Thematic Week events, the PS termed the incident a heartbreaking national disaster and urged Kenyans to stand together in solidarity with the bereaved families during the trying moment.
