A public health officer in Kilifi County has spearheaded the collection of 2.2 tonnes of used nappies in a bid to raise awareness among the community about the importance of proper disposal of nappies. Kevin Anungo, who initiated the collection exercise 72 hours ago, is appealing to national and county governments to purchase a special incinerator for the disposal of nappies, provided communities are allocated a designated space for disposing of soiled nappies.
