Pupils at Ololaimutia in Narok County were trained on the importance of environmental conservation as part of the government’s ambitious plan to plant 15 billion trees by 2032. The initiative, supported by private sector players, saw learners guided on planting trees while underscoring sustainability and the role of young people in greening the country.
The tree-planting campaign also aims to combat drought, flooding, and soil erosion, while enhancing food security and protecting the environment, a vital intervention for Narok’s semi-arid region.
