People living with disabilities in Migori County are embracing a new path towards economic empowerment following a sensitization initiative that has united them into a strong and organized group focused on improving their livelihoods. The initiative has created a platform for collaboration, giving members a collective voice and renewed hope for a better future.
During a meeting organized by a development partner, the county chairperson for persons living with disabilities, David Otieno, urged all individuals across Migori to register at the ward level. He emphasized that unity and proper registration will enable them to access both county and national government services more easily, unlike in the past where many were overlooked or unfairly perceived when seeking help individually.
