About 300 families living in Salama village, Airport ward in Changamwe constituency, Mombasa, are living in fear of being evicted from a parcel of land they claim to own. According to the residents, hired goons descended on the area and began demolishing their structures on Sunday night but they managed to fight them off. The parcel of land in contention measures about 50 acres overlooking the Port of Mombasa and is valued at over Sh150 million.
