Rotary Club is urging African communities to increase awareness about the dangers of polio and how to ensure the disease is completely eradicated from the face of the earth. Rotary Club East Africa coordinator Leonard Ithao, says although polio has been largely controlled, there is still a great need to raise more awareness within communities to ensure that no Kenyan or African is affected by the disease again.Speaking while commemorating World Polio Week in Athi River, Machakos County, Ithao said there is need to initiate awareness campaigns to enlighten communities on the dangers of polio.
