RUTHLESS OPERATION TO WEED OUT BANDITS IN MUKOGODO FOREST

After years of terror arising from persistent banditry attacks, peace could eventually be in sight in restive regions of Laikipia County after the government gave a firm commitment to deal decisively with criminals who have made Mukogodo forest their hideout. Interior Cabinet Secretary Kipchumba Murkomen has announced the commencement of a multiagency security operation this week to weed out bandits in parts of Laikipia North Sub-county, where lives have been lost and thousands of cattle stolen.
