Gianchere Special School in Kisii Central Sub-County in Kisii County has received a major security boost after the National Fund for the Disabled of Kenya constructed a 218 meters perimeter wall around the school at a cost of Sh 3 million.
Speaking during the commissioning of the perimeter wall, NFDK Chairman Professor Francis Kibera said the project was very critical for the safety, security and protection of the 84 learners and resources within the institution.
Prof. Kibera challenged the school management to continue seeking funds for the development of infrastructure from the local leadership and other well-wishers.
He also encouraged the institution to apply for small grants of upto Sh 300,000 from the Fund to enable them undertake small projects.
