Sakaja denies ceding key roles to national government

Nairobi Governor Johnson Sakaja says he is simply collaborating with the national government and will not hand over county functions. In his State of the County address, Sakaja said the Nairobi Metropolitan Services experiment left the county with pending bills totaling 16 billion shillings. Yet, he acknowledged that collaboration with the national government remains essential for the Capital City’s Transformation Agenda.
