Senators take Busia governor Otuoma to task over the state of county finances

Busia County Governor Paul Otuoma has defended his government over accusations that it has failed to account for billions of shillings in shareable revenue to the county. Appearing before the Senate’s Public Accounts Committee, governor Otuoma was at pains to explain how Busia County is falling short of its own sourced revenue potential despite the existence of multiple revenue streams. The governor was also questioned about a controversial upgrade of the Busia level four hospital.
