A day after FKF President Hussein Mohammed expressed his frustrations with half of his National Executive Committee members, the seven have now asked the president to convene a properly constituted NEC meeting within the FKF constitutional timelines.
The three key items they want addressed in the agenda are the 2026-2027 football season, establishment of FKF judicial bodies and the lawful appointment of a competent acting General Secretary.
The seven claim Dennis Gacheru’s tenure as acting secretary expired in August.
The NEC members also want to discuss modalities of starting the Kenya Premier League following the court directives of using the 2019 FKF rules and regulations, in particular, the prescribed promotion and relegation play-offs where required by the applicable court directives and regulations.
This comes as FKF summoned Kariobangi Sharks and Mombasa United football clubs, who are poised to play in the play-offs if the Murang’a High Court’s directive is to be followed.
