Several people arrested, investigations launched after UDA Meeting violence

Police have launched investigations into violence that erupted during a UDA delegates meeting presided over by Deputy President Kithure Kindiki at Nembure Stadium in Embu County yesterday. According to  Eastern Regional Police Commander Stephen Chebet  trouble began when a group of young people allegedly attempted to force their way into the stadium pelting  officers with stones when they were denied entry prompting security personnel to respond by lobbing tear gas.
