Shelter Afrique Development Bank and the International Finance Corporation have signed a memorandum of understanding aimed at deepening collaboration to accelerate and expand funding for affordable housing and strengthen urban development. The two institutions will also mobilize private capital for sustainable housing initiatives across the continent.
The MoU, signed on the sidelines of the Africa CEO Summit in Kigali, Rwanda, marks a significant milestone in unlocking housing finance and urban infrastructure solutions in Africa. It establishes a framework for ongoing dialogue and cooperation between the two institutions and reinforces their shared commitment to advancing sustainable development and inclusive growth through improved housing delivery and urban transformation.
