Six killed, eight injured in Lessos Junction crash

Six people died on the spot and eight others were injured in a road accident involving three PSV vehicles at Mlima Punda, Lessos Junction along the Eldoret–Nakuru Highway on Thursday night. Ainabkoi Deputy Police Commander Charles Getembe said a matatu heading to Eldoret from Nakuru veered off its lane as the driver tried to overtake a trailer and collided head-on with two matatus heading to Nakuru. The bodies of the six victims were transferred to the Moi Teaching and Refferal Hospital Mortuary in Eldoret, while the eight injured persons were rushed to Burnt Forest County Hospital for treatment.
