Spelling bee hosted at UoN to create awareness of the Kenya sign language

Kenyans are being encouraged to learn the sign language and teach their young ones the same, as a way of raising awareness on the Kenya sign language and fostering inclusive education among the hearing impaired and hearing children. This was the rallying call during this year`s spelling bee contest that brought together hearing-impaired and hearing children at the University of Nairobi to not only test their understanding of the language but also promote the awareness of the Kenya Sign Language.
