State House, interior ministry flagged for their expenditure

Controller of Budget Dr. Margaret Nyakang’o has flagged six government Ministries, Departments and Agencies for utilizing more than half of their budgetary allocations by the half-year mark of the financial year. The flagged departments include the State House and the Interior Ministry. The Controller made the submissions to the National Assembly Finance and Planning Committee while discussing the national government budget implementation report for the period ending December 2023. She also highlighted the government's heavy spending on travel, which shot up by 3 billion shillings.
