Team Kenya to the 2026 Commonwealth Games was officially flagged off on Monday ahead of the Games' opening in Scotland on Thursday.
The team of 188 athletes, coaches and technical officials will compete in 12 disciplines, including para sports. The Kenyan flag was officially presented to the team by the Principal Secretary in the State Department for Sports, Elijah Mwangi.
The Commonwealth Games have grown over the years and now attract elite athletes, unlike in previous editions, when many countries fielded mainly up-and-coming talent to gain international experience.
Team Kenya will be captained by Julius Yego.
