Team Kenya to the World Athletics Road Running Championship arrived back home on Tuesday morning from Copenhagen, Denmark, where Kenya finished on top of the table in the competition.
Kenya collected seven medals, including three gold, three silver and one bronze medal.
The gold medals were won by Agnes Chebet in the women’s half marathon, where she set a new world record, and team gold in both the men’s and women’s half marathons.
Nicholas Kipkurui won silver in the men’s half marathon, Veronica Loleo added another silver in the women’s half marathon, with the third silver coming from Caroline Makandi in the women’s 5km race.
The only bronze medal was won by Miriam Cherop in the women’s mile competition.
