Tension high in Kisumu ahead of linda mwananchi rally

Tensions are high is high in Kisumu ahead of the planned rally by ODM's linda mwananchi faction, led by secretary general Edwin Sifuna. Pockets of armed youths lined the roads leading to Nyalenda estate in Kisumu, paralysing activities in the area. The linda mwananchi team is expected to attend a church service in Nyalenda, ahead of a rally at the Kowuor grounds. The central business district remains relatively deserted over fears of rival groups clashing.
