Three families count losses following Meru arson attack

Three families from Buuri Meru county are counting losses after their houses were reduced to ashes early Saturday morning. The families say the arson attack, which was carried out by unknown assailants, is believed to be linked to a long-standing land dispute involving more than 200 households currently settled on the disputed land, which is approximately 13 acres. This even as they call for compensation.
