The final Harambee Starlets squad for the Women's Africa Cup of Nations includes three players who have progressed from the Under-17 national team to the Under-20 side and finally to the senior team. The team held its final training session on Tuesday afternoon ahead of departure to France on Wednesday morning. Defender Elizabeth Ochaka and strikers Marion Serenge and Valerie Nekesa impressed for Kenya at the 2024 FIFA U-17 Women's World Cup and have now earned places in the final squad for the Women's Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco later this month. The Starlets head to Miramas, in southern France, on Wednesday for a week-long training camp before travelling to Morocco. Miramas has similar weather conditions to Morocco, giving the team an opportunity to acclimatise early to the hot summer conditions.
