Police in Mombasa have recovered two vehicles and several items of suspected stolen property following a dramatic chase and shootout in the town centre that left three suspected car thieves injured and on the run. Officers responded to reports of vehicle break-ins along Kenyatta Avenue at around 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The suspects reportedly opened fire before fleeing in a Toyota Fielder, prompting a police pursuit through the town.
