TSC CHIEF MITEI WARNS POLITICAL INTERFERENCE IN TEACHER TRANSFERS; KUPPET WANTS SCHOOL FEES REVIEW

Teachers Service Commission (TSC) CEO Eveleen Mitei has firmly warned against political interference in the transfer of teachers, insisting that all transfer decisions remain the exclusive mandate of TSC. Speaking at the 49th KESSHA conference in Mombasa, she emphasized efforts to address staffing shortages, the upcoming implementation of the second phase of the teachers’ Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA), and the need for increased education funding.
