The United Democratic Alliance says it does not intend to advocate for the dissolution of the Orange Democratic Movement following the death of its party leader Raila Odinga. The Party Treasurer and Kitutu Chache North MP Japheth Nyakundi affirmed that UDA will instead champion to safeguard ODM from individuals attempting to destabilize it, as a way of upholding Odinga’s legacy. Meanwhile, Laikipia East legislator Mwangi Kiunjuri has faulted the opposition for what he says is hindering national progress through persistent political bickering.
