Vegetable nursery delighting farmers with 5m quality seedlings

    Seed Delight Limited a vegetable seeds propagating company in Njoro sub-county, Nakuru County is delighting farmers with top quality vegetable seedlings that is earning them good money and boosting food security in the country.

    The three years company was founded by Steve Chege who is also managing director in 2018. Some of the vegetable seedlings that are propagated by the company include tomatoes, cabbage, capsicum, spinach, African nightshade (managu), spider plant (saget) kales ( sukuma wiki), avocados and potatoes.

    The company raises the certified seedlings and sells them to farmers. Farmers also bring their certified seeds and the company raise them at a fee of between Sh1.50 and Sh4 depending on the duration at the greenhouses. The 8 acres farm serves more than 3,000 clients in Nakuru, Baringo, Narok and Laikipia counties.
