Wajir North MP Ibrahim Saney has hailed President William Ruto’s decision to hold this year’s Madaraka Day celebrations in Wajir County, describing it as a historic move that has dispelled long-held misconceptions about the region and signalled that the once-forgotten north is now firmly at the heart of national development.
Speaking at the newly constructed Wajir Stadium, Saney said the landmark facility would open up opportunities for young people, nurture sporting talent, and provide a platform to showcase their potential to the rest of the country.
