Energy and Petroleum Cabinet Secretary Opiyo Wandayi now says there is enough fuel in the country, and that the shortage witnessed in the past few days was caused by an “administrative and technical hitch”.
Wandayi, who appeared in the Senate plenary to answer questions on the fuel crisis in the country, said the shortage had been resolved. As Emmanuel Too now reports, his counterpart, Trade CS Lee Kinyanjui, defended the government’s move to lower fuel quality standards, saying the new sulphur levels will not affect vehicles.
