Water police unit turns up the heat to disconnect all illegal water connections

At least 42 people have been arrested since the onset of operation linda maji lipa maji by the ministry of water, which aims at rooting out all illegal water connections. Today alone at least 500 illegal pipes were disconnected from the main pipe supplying Langata area in nairobi county, where the main pipe crosses Raila village in Kibera. The ministry of water issued a word of notice to all those who have similar connections to disconnect immediately and apply for metering , before the long arm of the government catches up with them
