    The United Nations is in the process of upgrading and expanding its Nairobi offices under a project expected to cost 340 million dollars. At the 140-acre land in Gigiri, the multilateral body aims to achieve Net-zero status in its infrastructure and operations. Part one of the upgrade and renovations project has been completed, and Gigiri is prepared to host agencies that would wish to move their operations to Kenya. The conference facility project, which includes a 1600 capacity assembly hall, will soon begin and is set to be completed by 2030
