The family of Kenyan doctor Ambrose Kimiti Mwangi, who went missing while on a United Nations medical evacuation mission in Somalia, has renewed an urgent appeal to President William Ruto to intervene and secure his release, saying his employer, the United Nations, has remained silent for more than a year since his disappearance. The appeal follows the resurfacing of an undated video showing the doctor pleading for help from captivity. The family says repeated attempts to seek help from both the United Nations and the Kenyan government have been unsuccessful.
