Rex Masai Inquest: Police Armorer defends gun record errors

A senior police officer in charge of firearms at the central police station has dismissed claims of a cover-up in the station’s firearms registry. Testifying in the ongoing investigation into Rex Masai’s death, Fredrick Okapesi maintained that inconsistencies in the firearms records were not an attempt to conceal the truth. While acknowledging that the registry shows one officer signed out firearms more than once during the protest period, that did not amount to foul play.
