Kenya eyes wider tax base as revenue rises 8%

The Kenya Revenue Authority is betting big on technology, setting aside billions to simplify tax processes and rope in hard-to-tax sectors. Commissioner General Humphrey Wattanga says the push will zero in on MSMEs while also streamlining KRA’s internal operations through restructuring, new hires, and staff training.
