Governors Barchok, Wangamati arraigned, released on bail in graft case

Bomet Governor Hillary Barchok, former Bungoma governor Wycliffe Wangamati and 20 other suspects and entities have been charged with alleged Procurement Irregularity Offenses involving Millions of Shillings in Road Maintenance and Bridge Construction Works. The suspects pleaded 'not guilty' and were released on bond and restricted by the court from making public pronouncements about the cases, with the mention of both cases scheduled to commence on the 17th & 18th of September respectively.
