A group of elders from Embu County is appealing for an urgent dialogue with the Judicial Service Commission (JSC), citing a crisis within the land justice system that they say is denying them their rights. The elders, representing the Embu Nyangi Ndiriri Cultural group, voiced their concerns at the Embu Law Courts following a consultative meeting with court users, identifying the Land and Environment Court as the epicenter of the problem, where cases can languish for up to a decade without resolution.
