Gachagua affirms opposition unity, backs single 2027 candidate

The United Opposition has reiterated its commitment to living up to its name by fielding a presidential candidate through internal consensus. Leaders across the opposition insist that high-level consultations are ongoing to identify a formidable ticket capable of unseating President William Ruto in 2027. The Opposition, speaking from separate events in Mlolongo, Machakos County, and Kipipiri in Nyandarua County, also took issue with Defence CS Soipan Tuya’s silence on recent matters concerning Kenya’s sovereignty.
