Governors Clash with State Over UHC Staff and e-Procurement Rollout

The Council of Governors has issued fresh demands to the national government over the rollout of Universal Health Coverage (UHC) staff and the implementation of the Electronic Government Procurement (e-GP) system. In a statement following an Extraordinary Council Meeting on Monday, September 1, 2025, the governors accused the Ministry of Health of undermining devolved functions by attempting to alter UHC staff contracts without county involvement.
