The Council of Governors has rejected the e-procurement platform established by the national treasury for all procurement in government institutions. The Cog chair and Wajir governor Ahmed Abdullahi say counties will not board the platform until its functionality is guaranteed. The Cog claims that the national government is violating the constitution by infringing on the independence of county governments, forcing counties to use the e-procurement platform.
