The Kenya Medical Practitioners and Dentists Union KMPDU have launched a push for a 55% pay increment in their 2025-2029 collective bargaining agreement , warning they will down their tools if their grievances are not addressed within 90 days. Speaking during the union’s Annual Delegates Conference in Nairobi, KMPDU Secretary General Dr. Davji Atellah also asked the government to promptly settle all pending arrears owed to Ministry of Health doctors, employ more doctors and improve medical insurance cover for healthcare workers in the country.
